an email that i sent to my closest friends on january 4th 2010

lately i’ve been paying close attention to what takes up the

most space in my mind …and i am noticing that i have

a lot of the same thoughts over and over again.

yes, i do think that this is purposeful…but i am now working on

simply having new thoughts. making room for more.

as cheesy as it may sound.

i’ve watched that first shabazz palaces video so many times over

these past two years. at the time, i thoroughly researched EVERY person

involved with its production. in those two years i have made

contact with matthew lloyd and had the opportunity to work

on a commercial with bradford young.

khalil joseph…(according to my expectations) - soon come.

this more recent video is quite beautiful too - the music

coming from these guys is guiding some powerful imagery.

its been nice to both hear + watch.
